Lockdown 5.0 – Rajasthan is Ready To Opens Up All Monuments

Tourism is heartbeat of Rajasthan and also a major source of revenue as it houses several World Heritage Sites. As the fourth phase of Lockdown is going to end tomorrow (31st May 2020), Rajasthan Government  has announced norms and guidelines for the next phase.  From June 1st, to reinforce the tourism business in the state, Rajasthan Government has permitted all monuments and museums to reopen.

Since 18th March, all monuments and museums in the state have been shut down for tourists to eliminate the spread of Covid-19 among visitors. It has affected the entire tourism industry of Rajasthan. By ensuring the safety and security of visitors, state government has also issued and SOP to associated authorities managing and directing the museums and monuments to practice regular sanitisation as well as social distancing among visitors.

Entry of tourists will be free for the first 2 weeks in the monuments opening from June 1. At the same time, safari rates in the national park will also be reduced.

Timings for 1st week will be  9 am to 2 pm.

Timings for 2nd week will be from 9 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm.

From third week  50% discount on entry fee, timing will be from 9 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm.

Apart from this, all visitors and staff will have to go for screening and washing the hands properly before entering into the place. To do so, concerned administrations are put into work to coordinate with tourism department and organise cultural programs by 1st June in the state by folk artists. The common visitors entry will be allowed from June 2nd.
