How a two-year-old Jaipur startup has managed to build the first-ever marketplace of art experiences

The mesmerizing charm of his art,

The infinite stories imbibed in his heart,

The tales that he has gathered over time,

His passion is his true shine.

He, the artist is truly an oasis

flourishing thy barren soul with bounty

giving the power to sustain his legacy.

This is the passion with which, almost 2 years ago, a team headed by a driven man conceived the idea of Rajasthan Studio.

A first-of-its-kind marketplace that offers travelers and tourists to immerse themselves in deep, meaningful, life-transforming art experiences, Rajasthan Studio is giving a platform to the most skilled and championed artists of the country to share their craft and their exceptional lineage with the world.

Apart from the marketplace where people can book these live hands-on sessions with the award-winning artists in every art genre from various places, Rajasthan Studio has also initiated ‘The Circle’ experiences – a free curated platform exclusively for the artists.

With the core mission of bringing together the artists on a common ground where they can mingle, make merry, motivate, learn, and empower each other to achieve personal as well as community-building objectives, The Circle has earned its spot as the most liberal and dynamic platform for artists in the country.

Current Presence of Rajasthan Studio Art Experiences

The Journey so far

Powered by Rajasthan Studio, it all started by forming circles of artists in various cities of the state. What started with 3 circles in three cities, they are now a family of 1100+ artists as active members, with over 30 circles across Rajasthan and even Gujarat.

Since its inception, they have held more than a hundred free live experience sessions for multiple circles on varied art genres.

What’s interesting is that the saga of their circle experiences didn’t come to a halt even after the COVID-led lockdown and in fact, gave them a new perspective on doing things. It led to the beginning of their virtual circle experiences and further eLaunching of the circles in other cities like Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Ahmedabad.

Going Digital

As mentioned, Rajasthan Studio took the lockdown time to restructure their whole system to pave way to online experiences with high immersive value for the audiences.

During their journey of embracing the digital world, they have since been holding daily live sessions with artists, community influencers, social workers, and other empowering people. Rajasthan Studio has also conceptualized and executed one-of-its-kind online workshop carnival where experts in various fields held masterclasses for participants.

The carnival got an overwhelming response and not just from the audience but from the experts, too, showing the grit of the committed efforts of their entire team.

Millennial and Gen-Z prefer Experiences over things

Growing Trend of Experiences Over Things

Gen Z and many millenials are now dodging things for real life experiences when traveling.

86% of millennials are choosing experience travel and new culture over 44% who wanted to party and 28% wanting to shop. This clearly shows a substantial shift in the mindset of the people towards traveling.

Availing art learning and making experiences from the most renowned artists, not only gives the traveler a chance of an in-depth study and experience of that specific art but also helps them learn so much about the artist’s native heritage, culture, and lineage.

Exemplifying the vision of Rajasthan Studio, it depicts how the platform is using the medium of art and artists to preserve and promote the rich cultural experiences of the country.
